OUR ORIGINS

Back to Basics stands for products that are made by people for people. Our mission is to support and raise awareness of different fair trade organizations worldwide. By supporting these organizations, we support the people within them, the artists of this jewelry. They get a guaranteed living wage, safe working conditions, and support to get their children to school. I started Back to Basics because I wanted to help support the thousands of people worldwide who get paid below minimum wage and put themselves at risk each time they go to work. I have seen how fair trade has impacted people's lives, and I wanted to be part of a community that was dedicated to helping others.
